Learn about state courts
The Council of State Court Judges provides a web site that contains information and links to everything you need to know about the state court system. The council was created to improve the quality of the state courts, the judges and their expertise, and the administration of justice within the state. It consists of 197 state judges who serve in 69 counties.
Each state court provides its own web site detailing its members, procedures and locations. Courts within the state system and on the council's web site include the Georgia Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Superior Court, State Court, Juvenile Court, Probate Court, Magistrate Court, and Municipal Court.
This website helps to educate the public about the judicial process and familiarize it with the way the judicial system affects the community and daily lives of citizens.
The web site is located at www.georgiacourts.org.
